Job summary

NUR in Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to lead operations of distribution system equipment across LV to 132 kV. You will prepare switching plans and ensure compliance with distribution safety rules while coordinating outages and customer communications.

You will supervise service contractors and capital/network reinforcement projects, perform routine substation inspections, and be involved in cable testing, fault location, identification, and standby duties as required by the

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
• Holds company Authorization Certificate.
• At least 5 years working experience in primary equipment switching operation.
• At least 5 years working experience in primary equipment or secondary equipment maintenance, commission, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations of distribution system equipment (LV, 11 kV, 33 kV, 132 kV)
• Prepare switching plans (11 kV, 33 kV, 132 kV)
• Issue safety documents as required by distribution safety rules.
• Conduct customer service calls and outage calls
• Conduct cable patrols and cable tracing
• Conduct main substation routine inspections
• Supervise of service contractors
• Supervise capital and network reinforcement project.
• To involve cable testing and cable fault location
• To involve cable identification and cable spiking
• Do standby duties.
• Any other responsibilities that may be required, in the interests of the Company from time to time.

Education
