Job summary

Applied Materials in Singapore is seeking an Operations Manager to lead high-volume manufacturing operations on a 12-hour rotating schedule (4-3-3-4). The role requires relocation to Singapore and oversees safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

You will manage manpower planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation while driving Lean initiatives and continuous improvement, and you will coach supervisors and production staff to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing or production operations teams.
• Background in semiconductor, electronics, precision engineering, equipment manufacturing, or related industries.
• Proven people management and leadership experience.
• Strong experience in production planning, capacity management, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working on a fixed day or night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing and production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Manage manpower planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Drive operational excellence, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, EHS requirements, and operational procedures.
• Develop, coach, and lead supervisors and production employees.
• Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs including cycle time, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and support business goals.
