Job summary

Sonicon Construction is seeking an Operations Manager to translate strategy into reliable field delivery across divisions. Reporting to the Managing Director, you own people, plant, cost and systems to scale the business, deliver consistently, and outpace competitors in execution.

You will coordinate manpower, equipment and priorities across multiple sites, protect margins through productivity monitoring, and mentor site leaders to build stronger teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience managing construction operations.
• Strong understanding of labour productivity, job costing and operational efficiency.
• Able to communicate clearly with supervisors, operators and clients to resolve site issues quickly.
• Fluent in BM and English (Mandarin/Cantonese a plus).

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful project delivery across all divisions by coordinating manpower, equipment and operational priorities across multiple concurrent sites.
• Protect project margins by monitoring labour productivity, equipment utilisation and operational cost efficiency, taking corrective action when performance deviates from plan.
• Manage manpower deployment, equipment allocation and overtime planning across divisions to ensure resources are used efficiently.
• Resolve operational bottlenecks and site escalations quickly to prevent delays and maintain project momentum.
• Maintain strong safety discipline on site by enforcing safe work practices and holding supervisors accountable for operational safety standards.
• Strengthen operational capacity & capability by mentoring supervisors, improving crew productivity standards and developing stronger site leaders across divisions.
