Job summary

Marina Business Holdings is seeking an experienced Operation Manager to join our Sungai Petani, Kedah team on a full-time basis. This strategic leadership role focuses on overseeing and optimizing operations to ensure seamless efficiency across departments while maintaining highest standards of quality and safety.

You will drive operational performance, manage resources and budgets, supervise teams, implement SOPs, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with other departments to support business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in operations management in manufacturing, transport or logistics.
• Experience managing large teams and diverse functions.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, inventory control and logistics operations.
• Data-driven decision making and budget management experience.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all operational activities to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Manage budgets and costs, identifying areas for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements
• Oversee inventory management and supply chain logistics to maintain optimal stock levels and delivery schedules
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, providing regular reporting to senior management
• Lead, mentor and manage operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement
• Implement and maintain SOPs and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Identify operational bottlenecks and develop strategies to streamline processes and enhance productivity
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained across all operations
• Liaise with other departments to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and support business objectives
• Respond to operational challenges and implement corrective actions promptly and effectively

About the role

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management within the manufacturing, transport or logistics sector
• Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and diverse operational functions
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control and logistics operations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and operational management software
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment
• Preferred: Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
• Preferred: Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
