Job summary

Prudential Hong Kong Limited in Malaysia seeks a Manager, Operations Governance to strengthen governance, risk and control across insurance operations. The role leads audit engagements, regulatory reporting, incident management, risk assessments and read‑across reviews, guiding action and remediation with a hands‑on approach.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years in governance or related fields, with 3–5 years in people leadership, and experience in a regulated financial services environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field.
• CIA and ICA qualifications in advanced regulatory compliance, or equivalent, are an added advantage.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in operations governance, audit, risk and control, compliance or quality assurance.
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial role, with proven experience leading a team of at least 2 subordinates.
• Prior experience in life insurance, takaful, banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience working in regulated environments subject to audit and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as central coordinator for internal and external audits, regulatory examinations and risk assurance activities.
• Monitor applicable regulatory requirements and provide practical risk and regulatory advisory to operations teams.
• Manage operational incidents from identification through to root cause analysis and remediation.
• Facilitate and review Risk & Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and RRSA for in‑scope processes.
• Conduct read‑across reviews to identify common themes and drive remediation across departments.
• Prepare governance reports, dashboards and management information for senior management and Board.
• Plan, coordinate and manage the Operations Governance Meeting with clear action items.
• Lead, supervise and develop a team of at least 2 subordinates.
