Job summary

Prudential plc in Malaysia seeks a hands-on Manager, Operations Governance to strengthen governance, risk and control across insurance operations. You will lead audit engagements, regulatory submissions, incident management, and drive sustainable governance aligned with group standards and BNM expectations.

You will influence stakeholders, embed controls, and coordinate governance reporting while supervising at least two team members and partnering with risk, compliance and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management or related field.
• CIA/ICA certifications in advanced regulatory compliance preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years in operations governance, audit, risk and control or quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Audit Management: coord internal, external audits and regulatory examinations; support lifecycle and remediation.
• Regulatory Requirements & Advisory: assess impact of regulations and translate into guidance.
• Incident and Issue Management: manage incidents from identification to closure with root cause analysis.
• Risk and Control Assessment: facilitate RCSA/RRSA, identify control gaps and actions.
• Read-Across Review: identify themes and drive remediation across departments.
• Timely Reporting: prepare governance reports and management information for leadership.
• Operations Governance Meeting Management: plan agendas, materials and minutes with action tracking.
• People Leadership: supervise and develop at least 2 subordinates; drive continuous improvement.
