Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced OT/Smart Manufacturing specialist to lead the OT roadmap and drive digital transformation across production sites. The role focuses on standardizing OT processes, enabling MES and SAP integration, and delivering manufacturing efficiency improvements.

You will collaborate with global teams, manage budgets, and ensure cybersecurity and system reliability across OT landscapes. A bachelor’s or master’s degree and 5+ years in OT are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operational Technology (OT), Smart Manufacturing, Automation, MES, or Industrial Digitalization within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience managing OT or Industry 4.0 projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the OT roadmap aligned with business and manufacturing objectives.
• Ensure OT solutions comply with corporate standards, cybersecurity, and architecture.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing systems, digitalization, and process efficiency.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of OT-related manufacturing processes.
• Support Smart Manufacturing initiatives and promote best practices across production sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational performance.
• Lead and implement OT and Smart Manufacturing projects (e.g., MES, machine connectivity, industrial networks, automation, dashboards).
• Gather business requirements, coordinate system implementation, testing, and user acceptance.
• Manage project scope, timeline, budget, and benefits realization.
• Maintain and enhance the OT landscape, including MES, industrial applications, machine connectivity, and SAP integration.
• Ensure OT system reliability, data integrity, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Provide technical support and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on OT solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to engineers and end users on OT systems and digital solutions.
• Promote knowledge sharing and adoption of Smart Manufacturing technologies.
• Support continuous learning and organizational digital transformation.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Operational Technology (OT), Smart Manufacturing, Automation, MES, or Industrial Digitalization within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience managing OT or Industry 4.0 projects.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial automation, MES, SCADA/PLC, machine connectivity, SAP integration, and OT cybersecurity.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across global and cross-functional teams.
