Job summary

Haleon in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operational QA Staff to address quality issues on the shop floor during production shifts, with emphasis on GMP compliance and batch records. You will participate in investigations, audits and deviation handling, support product release, and contribute to a culture of quality and compliance across Production, Warehouse, QC, and Facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with GMP operations experience in pharma preferred.
• Associated Degree or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership experience are valued.

Responsibilities

• Act as quality liaison during production shifts and ensure GMP compliance across production, warehouse, and QC areas.
• Support investigations, deviations, and RCA activities as part of the quality system.
• Assist with batch record reviews and product release assessments.
• Contribute to internal audits and periodic product review activities to maintain quality.

As an Operational QA Staff, you will manage/lead/be responsible for working on the shop floor addressing quality issues during production shift operating hours. Additional responsibilities include supporting incident and deviation investigations, participation in internal auditing activities and batch record review.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

• Act as quality liaison during the shift operation, ensuring GMP compliance in all areas of operation, including Production, Warehouse, QC Laboratory and Facilities area.
• Advise teams on all aspects of GMP compliance and support the release of finished product release, assessing quality impact as necessary.
• Participate in on-line problems solving for quality issues, member of rapid response team in mitigating and resolving issues that arise during the shift.
• Conduct regular process confirmation gemba, driving quality compliance and quality culture at site.
• Serve as an Authorised Person (AP), reviewing batch records for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure that retained samples are properly managed and batch production follows approved procedures and guidelines.
• Lead or involved as investigator or member of investigation team, to support Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Deviation investigations and Event Investigation.
• Support the investigation of product complaint and participate in the verification of counterfeit products as per established processes and procedures.
• Support Periodic Product Review (PPR) and ensure necessary actions are taken to maintain product quality and compliance.
• Assist with audit preparation for the Operational Quality section, including conducting internal audits and addressing areas of concern

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Minimum of 3 years of experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) operations in pharmaceutical industry

Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Associated Degree or Bachelor’s degree Previous leadership experience is Experience addressing technical business solutions Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven experience assuring compliance with regulations
