Job summary

Haleon in Malaysia seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to support Inventory, Costing and Intercompany tracking for assigned markets, ensuring accurate month-end close, balance-sheet integrity and compliant reporting. You will collaborate with FPCRA, COE towers, CS&L, and market stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial outcomes.

4+ years in financial reporting with strong inventory/cost accounting background is required; SAP and Power BI experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Financial Reporting experience.
• Strong background in Inventory and Cost Accounting including Intercompany processes.
• Experience with Internal Control Frameworks, ideally Sarbanes Oxley.
• Multinational SSC exposure is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel/Power BI and databases.

Responsibilities

• Partner with FPCRA, COE SG&A, Stat & Tax, Supply Chain and market stakeholders to support month-end close and reporting.
• Act as the key finance contact for Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting, ICT, PPV, stock provision and E2E COGS matters.
• Collaborate with FPCRA to support P&L and Balance Sheet reviews with variance explanations.
• Work with CS&L, Supply Chain and market teams to resolve inventory exceptions (PO, GRNI, ageing, GIT).
• Support monthly ICT activities: volume reviews, DPS/Profit Release analysis, mismatch resolution and intercompany reconciliations.
• Provide Inventory, Costing and COGS inputs to management reports (Gross Margin, WCAP, inventory reporting).
• Liaise with auditors for inventory schedules and supporting documentation.

Job Purpose

Responsible for supporting Inventory, Cost Accounting and Intercompany Tracking activities for assigned markets, ensuring accurate month-end close, balance-sheet integrity, compliant financial reporting and effective execution of internal controls. The role collaborates closely with FPCRA, other COE towers, Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics, and market stakeholders to deliver timely and high-quality financial outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

• Partner with FPCRA, COE SG&A, Stat & Tax, Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) and market stakeholders to support month-end close, financial reporting and issue resolution.
• Act as the key finance contact for assigned markets on Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting, ICT (Intercompany Tracking), PPV, Stock Provision, GRNI, NRV and E2E COGS related matters.
• Collaborate with FPCRA to support P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, providing variance analysis and accounting explanations for material inventory and COGS movements.
• Work closely with CS&L, Supply Chain and market teams to investigate and resolve inventory-related exceptions, including open PO, GRNI, stock provision, freight, inventory ageing, goods-in-transit (GIT) and intercompany issues.
• Support monthly ICT activities, including volume submission reviews, DPS/Profit Release analysis, mismatch resolution and intercompany reconciliations.
• Provide Inventory, Costing and COGS-related inputs to management reporting deliverables, including Gross Margin analysis, Working Capital (WCAP), ONL, inventory reporting and other finance review packs, where required.
• Liaise with Stat & Tax, auditors and other stakeholders to provide inventory-related schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation for statutory, tax and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with other COE towers and business stakeholders to identify process improvement, standardization and automation opportunities across Inventory, Cost Accounting and E2E COGS.

• 4+ years of Financial Reporting Strong background in Inventory and Cost Accounting including Intercompany process.
• Experience on Internal Control Framework environment, ideally Sarbanes Oxley.
• Experience in working in Shared Service Centre in financial accounting and preferably from multinational environment.
• Demonstrate a good Commercial mindset and being able to interact with stakeholders at different level.
• An individual with a positive/ ”can do” attitude and a team player.
• Used to lead activities and interact/manage stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Pro-active, self-motivated and displaying initiative in solving problems.
• Actively seeks to improve processes making them more effective and efficient.
• Attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to plan and manage workload to ensure all key deadlines is met.
• Used to work with tight timelines and in a demanding environment.
• Must be fluent in English – both written and spoken SAP, Bison experience is an advantage.
• Degree in Finance/Accounting and preferably a CPA, CMA, ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Excel/Power BI & other databases, including use of advanced formulas.
