Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for all electrical systems and civil works in the solar PV plant to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance system health.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on solar PV systems, including DC and LV components and connections.
- Attend to electrical breakdowns related to solar PV systems, initiate fault diagnosis, and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain proper documentation and records for all corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
- Supervise and monitor related works performed by appointed contractors.
- Prepare reports for product warranty claims, including inverter, PV module, data logger, etc.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on electricity production, efficiency, maintenance, outages, inspections, and equipment adjustments.
- Liaise with government authorities, vendors, and contractors on system-related issues and warranty claims.
- Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Support project execution during and after construction, and other O&M activities as instructed.
- Offer full support during emergencies (24 hours), public holidays, and festive seasons.
- Work hours and days are flexible as per owner arrangements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating and controlling low voltage electrical equipment.
- Sufficient knowledge and skills in LV wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of electrical theory, troubleshooting, and regulations (Electricity Supply Act 1990).
- Valid Chargeman A0/A1 certificate from Energy Commission or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Customer-oriented, independent, with good interpersonal skills.
- Valid driving license D; willing to relocate to Batu Gajah, Gopeng, or Penang, and based in Sitiawan, Perak.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both verbal and written.
- Physically and mentally fit; able to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
