Summary

In this role, the Senior Lead Engineer leads Board Support Package (BSP) and firmware development for Celestica's high-performance networking switch platforms, developing and integrating low-level device drivers, customizing BSP and boot code, and driving board bring-up in close partnership with hardware and manufacturing teams.

Detailed Description

Responsibilities:

1) Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and locating issue encountered.

2) Collaborating with front-end, customers, and the market to deploy and design BMC-related requirements on products.

3) Coordinate multi functions cross sites to debug issue and feature development on products.

4) Design, develop and release BMC firmware package on products.

5) Customer/Vendor communication on the design

Embedded Linux or BMC(OpenBMC, AMI, or other BMC supplier) development experience.

Understanding Linux device driver, file system and memory management.

Familiar with IPMI, Redfish, and I2C, UART, SPI, GPIO, PCIe/PCI, and Power Management etc.

Solid C/C++ , Linux shell and Make file programming skills, experience in Python, Java.

Ability to rapidly acquire working knowledge of unfamiliar new technologies.

• Multicultural working experience, Good communication and teamwork.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
