The Weir Group in Batu Caves, Malaysia, seeks a Junior Planner to support daily production scheduling for polyurethane and rubber-lining products. You’ll coordinate material needs, monitor SAP-driven requirements, and act as the operations bridge between Production and Procurement to ensure timely supply.

This onsite role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent apprenticeship, strong MS Office skills, and customer-focused teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical apprenticeship with strong business acumen.
• Experience in production planning, preferably in automotive, metal, or rubber industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Exposure to supply chain or materials planning concepts (nice to have).
• Fast learner with agility to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands (nice to have).
• Experience in managing planning exceptions and coordinating cross-functional teams (nice to have).
• Information technology savvy with a willingness to learn new systems and tools (nice to have).

Aufgaben

• Production Planning: Manage daily production schedules and planning activities for PU and rubber-lining products.
• Material Coordination: Monitor SAP-generated material requirements, review and clear planning exceptions, and coordinate with Procurement to ensure material availability aligns with production needs.
• Operational Communication: Act as the operational bridge between Production and Procurement by communicating daily plans, rescheduling orders based on priorities, and supporting urgent customer requests through schedule adjustments.
• Team Collaboration: Participate actively in daily operational and war-room meetings to align production plans with business needs and respond promptly to changing situations.
• Performance Success: Maintain high delivery performance with minimal overdue orders, contributing to high service level standards and operational efficiency.
• Travel Requirements: This role is fully onsite at Batu Caves with no travel requirements.
