Job summary

Zhongshi Chemical Engineering Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to implement and monitor safety practices at construction sites. The role supervises safety activities, conducts inspections, toolbox meetings, and safety inductions for workers and subcontractors.

You will assist in the Permit-to-Work system, monitor high-risk activities, enforce safety rules, and support incident reporting and investigation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or SKM qualification in a relevant field.
• CIDB Yellow Book or Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification, as applicable to the position.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• Good knowledge of construction site safety practices, hazard identification, and risk control.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards.
• Lead toolbox meetings to communicate safety hazards and preventive measures; conduct inductions for new workers and subcontractors.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring the Permit-to-Work system and high-risk activities.
• Intervene in unsafe work practices and report safety violations to management.
• Maintain daily safety inspection records, toolbox meeting attendance, and other safety documentation.
