Job summary

Yu Tong Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Safety Site Supervisor for on-site work in Penang. You will champion health, safety and environmental standards across all construction activities and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key duties include conducting site inspections, implementing safety policies, delivering inductions, and coordinating with authorities and clients to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• CIDB-certified Safety Officer or Safety Site Supervisor.
• Minimum 5 years in an HSE role within construction.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian CIDB requirements and safety regs.
• Ability to implement compliance across projects.
• Proven hazard identification, risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and audits on sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Develop and monitor tailored safety policies and procedures for projects.
• Deliver safety inductions and training to all personnel, including contractors.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; document findings and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and compliance documentation per regulations.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings to reinforce best practices.
