BDP International, a member of the PSA Group, seeks an experienced Ocean Export Analyst in Malaysia to analyze, define, and recommend improvements for export processes.

You will lead engagements with customers and vendors, perform data-driven analyses, and drive project-based enhancements while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with 4–5 years of operational experience in freight forwarding or supply chain in MNC.
• Proficient in English; strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn operational systems and visibility applications.
• Ability to work in a regional environment both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.
• Good coordination, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
• Korean or Japanese language skills are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with external customers and PSA BDP operations.
• Lead engagements with customer suppliers and business groups to minimize export disruption.
• Lead weekly virtual meetings with customers and vendors (Ocean Carrier, Dray Providers, Shipping Sites).
• Perform business and process analysis using data from internal systems and external sources.
• Participate in process improvement teams and lead projects when appropriate.
• Provide ad hoc analytical services to support problem solving and crises.
• Produce reports and graphics for internal and external customers.
• Lead onboarding of new sites and business units.
• Work with clients to ensure import/export regulatory compliance.

Job Description

Provides analysis, definition and recommendations to support Ocean Export Services improvements, efficiencies and business development. Provides analysis for projects, ad hoc studies, pricing and costing decisions, productivity assessment, process improvement, transition management and corporation training.

Essential Functions

• Build effective relationships and credibility with external customers and within PSA BDP operations and other company functional groups.
• Lead engagement with customer suppliers and business groups ensuring minimal disruption to export cargo flow.
• Lead weekly virtual meetings with customers and vendors (Ocean Carrier, Dray Providers, Shipping Sites).
• Perform business and process analysis using the data and information provided by internal systems and outside sources. Analysis offered includes more than just the numbers. It contains observations and ideas.
• Participate in process improvement teams to determine ways to improve business processes. Ideally taking a lead role for some projects at the appropriate time.
• Provide ad hoc analytical services to assist in problem solving and in times of crisis.
• Produce reports and graphics for internal and external customers.
• Offer ideas with substance that add create value and anticipate questions and concerns. Introducing new ways of thinking.
• Performs other job-related duties and functions as required.
• Lead implementation and assist in follow-up with each new site/BU onboarded.
• Work with Client to ensure import/export regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least four (4) to five (5) years of operational experience in freight forwarding environment or supply chain in MNC.
• Candidate should have the ability to learn operational systems and visibility applications.
• Proficient capabilities in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in English Language
• The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
