Job summary

PSA BDP, part of the PSA Group, seeks an analytical professional to support Ocean Export Services enhancements, efficiency gains, and business development. The role focuses on data-driven analysis, project support, pricing decisions, and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate will build relationships with customers, lead supplier interactions, and drive process improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance across export activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4–5 years of operational experience in freight forwarding or supply chain in an MNC.
• Ability to learn operational systems and visibility applications.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English language proficiency is essential.
• Team leadership experience is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with external customers and internal PSA BDP groups.
• Lead engagement with customer suppliers and business groups to minimise export disruption.
• Lead weekly virtual meetings with customers and vendors (Ocean Carrier, Dray Providers, Shipping Sites).
• Perform business and process analysis using internal and external data.
• Participate in process improvement teams and take a lead role on projects.
• Provide ad hoc analytical services to aid problem solving.
• Produce reports and graphics for internal and external customers.
• Suggest value-adding ideas and new ways of thinking.
• Lead onboarding of new sites/BU and ensure import/export regulatory compliance.

Job Summary

Provides analysis, definition and recommendations to support Ocean Export Services improvements, efficiencies and business development. Provides analysis for projects, ad hoc studies, pricing and costing decisions, productivity assessment, process improvement, transition management and corporation training.

Essential Functions

• Build effective relationships and credibility with external customers and within PSA BDP operations and other company functional groups.
• Lead engagement with customer suppliers and business groups ensuring minimal disruption to export cargo flow.
• Lead weekly virtual meetings with customers and vendors (Ocean Carrier, Dray Providers, Shipping Sites)
• Perform business and process analysis using the data and information provided by internal systems and outside sources. Analysis offered includes more than just the numbers. It contains observations and ideas.
• Participate in process improvement teams to determine ways to improve business processes. Ideally taking a lead role for some projects at the appropriate time.
• Provide ad hoc analytical services to assist in problem solving and in times of crisis.
• Produce reports and graphics for internal and external customers.
• Offer ideas with substance that add create value and anticipate questions and concerns. Introducing new ways of thinking.
• Performs other job-related duties and functions as required.
• Lead implementation and assist in follow-up with each new site/BU onboarded
• Work with Client to ensure import/export regulatory compliance

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least four (4) to five (5) years of operational experience in freight forwarding environment or supply chain in MNC.
• Candidate should have the ability to learn operational systems and visibility applications.
• Proficient capabilities in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in English Language
• The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
