Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a contract role in Johor. You will provide technical input, support electrical systems, and drive reliability across projects.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience, hands-on knowledge of relays, transformers, switchgear, motors, and UPS systems, plus proficiency in AutoCAD/ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience.
• Experience with protection relays, transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS.
• Ability to read SLDs, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/ETAP or similar tools.
• Experience in petrochemical/O&G facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input and execute the Electrical Engineering Strategy, Business Plan, and Policy.
• Deliver technical and project engineering services and specialized solutions.
• Support electrical engineering for design, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assist operation and maintenance of electrical equipment including protection relays, transformers, switchgear, motors, and UPS.
• Review electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics, and docs.
• Support activities through commissioning, testing, and start-up.
• Monitor performance; assist root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, standards, and best practices.
• Maintain engineering documentation and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support initiatives to enhance asset reliability, integrity, availability, and efficiency.
