Job summary

DLAWIP ASSOCIATES PLT in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking an Office Assistant to support trademark registration, prosecution and related IP matters. You will handle filings, correspondence and client liaison to ensure timely progress.

Training will be provided. Basic computer skills and good English/BM communication are essential; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage. Remuneration offers a basic salary plus performance incentives, with potential monthly income up to RM3,000+ depending on performance.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are a registered Intellectual Property (IP) firm seeking an Office Assistant in handling trademark registration, prosecution and related intellectual property matters.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and process trademark searches, applications, renewals, recordals and other trademark-related filings.

Assist in drafting responses to trademark examination reports, objections and other official correspondence.

Monitor application status, deadlines and due dates and ensure timely follow-up.

Liaise with clients to obtain information, evidence, documents, signatures and instructions.

Keep clients updated on the progress and status of their trademark matters.

Liaise and follow up with the Intellectual Property Office and other relevant authorities.

Maintain accurate trademark files, client records and case-management records.

Perform other trademark and intellectual property-related duties as assigned.

About you
