Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and client records.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of therapy protocols and best practices.
• Participate in CPD and stay updated with advances in occupational therapy.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the Mindcare Centre team in Skudai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our mission to provide exceptional rehabilitation and therapeutic services to our clients. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be instrumental in helping individuals regain independence, improve their functional abilities, and enhance their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions and support.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning
• Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans based on clients' goals and rehabilitation needs
• Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to promote independence in activities of daily living, work, and leisure
• Monitoring client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and documenting outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
• Providing education and training to clients and their families on adaptive techniques and strategies for independence
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and client records
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of therapy protocols and best practice standards
• Participating in continuing professional development and staying current with advances in occupational therapy practice

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's degree or higher) from an accredited institution
• Current professional registration and membership with the relevant occupational therapy regulatory body (MAHPC)
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy practice, preferably in rehabilitation or healthcare settings is advantage
• Fresh graduate are welcome to apply
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy assessment tools, treatment modalities, and evidence-based interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
