Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Radiographer to perform PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging independently, while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

The role requires MAHPC registration, a relevant degree in radiography, and a diligent approach to QA, image quality, radiation protection, and collaboration with the Nuclear Medicine and Cancer Centre teams to deliver a smooth patient journey.

Qualifications

• Perform nuclear imaging procedures independently, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT examinations.
• Provide safe, efficient and compassionate patient care throughout imaging procedures.
• Assess patients before and during examinations and ensure optimal image quality.
• Operate nuclear imaging equipment safely and effectively, including basic troubleshooting.
• Evaluate images and perform additional imaging when required to support diagnosis.
• Ensure appropriate radiation protection and minimize unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Transfer and manage images through PACS and prepare hard copies when required.
• Participate in QA programmes and maintain high clinical and technical standards.
• Report incidents and support risk management, clinical audit and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with the Nuclear Medicine and Cancer Centre teams to ensure a smooth patient journey.
