Job summary

Randstad Malaysia partners with a global semiconductor leader to recruit a strategic sourcing professional for local and global procurement. You will shape supplier strategies, monitor performance, and lead cost-optimization initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will report to the Procurement Manager or GM depending on seniority, work in a data-driven team, and own category responsibilities with opportunities to develop across multiple procurement domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• 1–3 years for Junior, 5+ for Senior, 10+ for Management roles.
• Experience in Semiconductor, Electronics, or high-volume Manufacturing preferred.
• Strong analytical mind and excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Manage local and global sourcing.
• Supplier Performance: Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring quality and Just-in-Time delivery.
• Cost Optimization: Execute cost-saving initiatives and Value Engineering projects to maintain competitiveness.
• Risk Management: Develop alternative sourcing strategies and maintain buffer stocks to mitigate disruptions.
• Compliance: Ensure procurement activities align with industry standards.

• Strategic Sourcing: Manage local and global sourcing.
• Supplier Performance: Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring strict adherence to quality and "Just-in-Time" delivery schedules.
• Cost Optimization: Execute cost-saving initiatives and Value Engineering projects to maintain competitiveness in the semiconductor market.
• Risk Management: Mitigate supply chain disruptions by developing alternative sourcing strategies and maintaining strong buffer stocks.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities align with international electronics industry standards.

About the Team

Depending on your seniority, you will be part of a dynamic procurement cluster reporting to either the Procurement Manager or the General Manager (GM). You will work in a high-speed, collaborative environment where data-driven decisions are the norm and team members are encouraged to take ownership of their respective categories.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Open to all levels (1–3 years for Junior, 5+ years for Senior, 10+ years for Management roles).
• Industry: Experience in Semiconductor, Electronics, or high-volume Manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Traits: Strong analytical mind, resilient under pressure, and excellent negotiation skills.
