Job summary

V.S. Industry Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Project Engineer to lead RFQ and NPI projects through production implementation and customer buy-off. You will review drawings, assess manufacturing feasibility, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet timelines and quality goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 2 years' experience in related fields. Applicants should be willing to work in Senai, Johor and contribute to continuous improvement and IPC readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Project Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, or related roles.
• Experience in SMT, PCBA, electronics manufacturing, or semiconductor industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of SMT processes is an advantage.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Willing to work in Senai, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from RFQ and NPI through production implementation and customer buy-off, ensuring project timeline, quality, cost, and customer requirements are achieved.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and product requirements, and assess SMT/PCBA manufacturing feasibility and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, Procurement, Engineering, Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project documentation including BOM, ECN, engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documents.
• Coordinate product fitting, functional, electrical, and software testing to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and prepare project status reports and meeting minutes.
• Drive continuous improvement and support successful NPI transfer and mass production readiness.
