Job summary

V.S. Industry Berhad in Johor is seeking a Project Engineer to lead electronics manufacturing projects from RFQ and NPI through to production and customer sign-off.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, review drawings and specs, and ensure schedules, budgets, and quality requirements are met. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Industrial Engineering, at least two years in project/manufacturing Engineering or NPI, plus familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 2 year of working experience in Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, or a related engineering field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering documentation (e.g., BOM, ECN), and project coordination. Experience in SMT, semiconductor, or related manufacturing industries is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and other quality tools is an added advantage.
• Willing to work in Senai, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from RFQ and new product introduction (NPI) through production implementation and final customer buy-off, ensuring project objectives, timelines, and customer requirements are achieved.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and product requirements, and conduct feasibility studies to determine the most suitable manufacturing processes and technical solutions.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, procurement, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain project documentation, including BOM, ECN, engineering drawings, specifications, and other relevant engineering records.
• Develop, review, and maintain engineering procedures in compliance with the company's Management System, quality standards, and Code of Conduct.
• Lead or support APQP and PPAP activities, including the review of PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, ISIR, Cp/Cpk, Cmk, and PSW documentation to ensure customer and quality requirements are met.
• Coordinate and oversee product fitting, functional, electrical, and software testing to verify product performance, reliability, and compliance with customer specifications.
• Monitor project progress against the master schedule, resolve technical and project issues, prepare project status reports and meeting minutes, and drive continuous improvement in project execution and manufacturing processes.
