Job summary

Camwell Sdn. Bhd. is a leading sheet metal manufacturer actively guiding new products through development stages from quotation to feasibility, tooling readiness, and customer approval.

The role encompasses quality, packaging and logistics, launch handover, and ongoing improvements to ensure safe and compliant operations. The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in NPI or process engineering within metal stamping or silk screen printing, with proven project leadership and strong analytical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as specified; diploma with extensive relevant experience may be considered
• Minimum 5 years in NPI/project/process engineering in metal stamping or silk screen printing
• Experience leading projects or teams for at least 2 years
• Working knowledge of stamping dies, presses, and silk screen printing
• Hands-on with APQP, PPAP, FAI, PFMEA, control plans, MSA and SPC; aware of IATF 16989 / ISO 9001
• Able to read engineering drawings with GD&T and use CAD software
• Strong project management: planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management
• Experience with root cause analysis tools and lean manufacturing
• Data-driven and proficient in Excel; comfortable with ERP/MES data
• Excellent communications, negotiation and cross-functional leadership with customers/vendors

Job description

NPI (New Product Introduction) Leadership and Project Management role responsible for guiding products through development lifecycle stages including quotation and feasibility, tooling and process readiness, quality and customer approval, supply chain packaging and logistics, launch handover and continuous improvement, and safety and compliance.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Printing/Materials Engineering (diploma with extensive relevant experience may be considered)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in NPI, project engineering or process engineering in metal stamping, silk screen printing or a similar manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years leading projects or teams
• Working knowledge of stamping dies presses and processes, and silk screen printing
• Hands on experience with APQP, PPAP, FAI, PFMEA, control plans, MSA and SPC and with customers quality systems (IATF 16989 / ISO 9001)
• Able to read engineering drawings with GD&T and use CAD software
• Strong project management skills: planning, scheduling, budget and risk management with proven on time launch results
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and lean manufacturing methods
• Data driven and analytical, proficient in Excel and comfortable working with ERP/MES data
• Excellent communications, negotiation and cross-functional leadership skills, including with customers and external vendors
