Job summary

Stratus Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Verification Engineer to define test strategies, plans, and procedures for mechanical, electrical, and electronic hardware verification across the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle. You will review requirements, establish test coverage, and coordinate readiness for NPI builds, ensuring safety and reliability, while collaborating with R&D teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field.
• Fresh graduates or 1+ year testing/verification experience.
• Experience in prototype testing or hardware verification is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate hardware failures and root causes.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART or MODBUS is a plus.
• Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)

Responsibilities

• Define test strategies and plans for hardware verification across the NPI lifecycle.
• Review requirements and specs to establish test coverage and criteria.
• Develop detailed NPI test procedures, test cases, methods, and schedules.
• Plan and coordinate test readiness for NPI builds including equipment, fixtures and tooling.
• Support prototype, engineering, pilot and NPI build testing for functionality, safety and reliability.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, electronic, functional, environmental and reliability testing.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues identified during NPI testing.
• Collaborate with R&D Engineers to identify, reproduce and resolve hardware issues.
• Analyze test data and support root cause analysis and investigations.
• Maintain test documentation and traceability from tests performed.
• Identify test equipment needs and support procurement of fixtures and instruments.
• Prepare verification reports and test status updates.
• Suggest design and process improvements based on test results and trends.
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage and product quality.
