We are looking for a self-driven & hands-on NPI Engineer to develop, prepare, and improve manufacturing solutions for PCBA and Final Assembly in a growing advanced electronics manufacturing environment.
Your tasks
- Develop and prepare manufacturing concepts for PCBA and Final Assembly, including process flow, value stream, production layout, line setup, equipment, tools, fixtures, and workstations.
- Translate product and technical requirements into manufacturable and testable production solutions together with R&D, Process Engineering and Production.
- Define and validate production processes, tooling, process parameters, routings, work instructions, and production setup data for prototype, pilot, and ramp-up builds.
- Drive practical manufacturing improvements by applying DFM/DFA, Lean Manufacturing, line balancing, and structured problem solving to improve quality, cycle time, efficiency, and process stability.
- Create transparency on production readiness by tracking technical risks, process deviations, open points, yield, cycle time, and agreed project milestones.
- Ensure a smooth handover to serial production by verifying equipment, documentation, production resources, and process readiness before release.
Your Qualifications
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Product Engineering, or product introduction in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Solid experience in advanced electronics manufacturing, electronic assemblies, PCB/PCBA, module testing, final assembly, or equivalent technical environments.
- Good understanding of manufacturing concepts, process flows, production layouts, line setup, material flow, tooling, fixtures, workstations, and production readiness.
- Practical experience in DFM/DFA, Lean Manufacturing, line balancing, work instructions, routings, process specifications, process validation, ramp-up activities, and handover to serial production.
- Strong hands-on mindset with the ability to define manufacturing solutions, solve technical problems, manage technical deliverables according to project milestones, and cooperate effectively in English with R&D, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
