Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz (China) Technology Co., Ltd. is seeking a manufacturing engineer to develop concepts for PCBA and Final Assembly, translating requirements into producible solutions. You will collaborate with R&D, Process Engineering and Production to define processes, tooling and setup data for prototype to ramp-up builds.

You will drive Lean improvements, apply DFM/DFA, balance lines, track readiness, and ensure a smooth handover to serial production by verifying equipment and resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing concepts for PCBA and Final Assembly, including layouts and line setup.
• Translate product and technical requirements into manufacturable production solutions with R&D, Process Engineering and Production.
• Define and validate production processes, tooling, routings, work instructions, and setup data for prototypes and ramp-up builds.
• Drive improvements using DFM/DFA, Lean, line balancing, and structured problem solving to boost quality, cycle time, and efficiency.
• Create transparency on production readiness by tracking risks, deviations, yield, cycle time, and milestones.
• Ensure smooth handover to serial production by verifying equipment, resources, and process readiness before release.

Job description

• Develop and prepare manufacturing concepts for PCBA and Final Assembly, including process flow, value stream, production layout, line setup, equipment, tools, fixtures, and workstations.
• Translate product and technical requirements into manufacturable and testable production solutions together with R&D, Process Engineering and Production.
• Define and validate production processes, tooling, process parameters, routings, work instructions, and production setup data for prototype, pilot, and ramp-up builds.
• Drive practical manufacturing improvements by applying DFM/DFA, Lean Manufacturing, line balancing, and structured problem solving to improve quality, cycle time, efficiency, and process stability.
• Create transparency on production readiness by tracking technical risks, process deviations, open points, yield, cycle time, and agreed project milestones.
• Ensure a smooth handover to serial production by verifying equipment, documentation, production resources, and process readiness before release.
