Job summary

Unigen Technology Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance professional with strong supplier and manufacturing quality experience in EMS/electronics. You will lead process control planning, CAPA, and audits while collaborating with Engineering and Production to ensure quality readiness for new products.

The role requires hands-on expertise in PCBA processes, IPC standards, and quality tools, with a focus on reducing variation and improving yield across multiple production lines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality within EMS or electronics industry.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA processes (SMT, wave soldering, conformal coating, etc.).
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and ESD standards.
• Proficient in quality tools: SPC, FMEA, 8D, DOE, and control charts.
• Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray, and ICT.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies.
• Exposure to medical, automotive, or industrial electronics standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with QMS software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructions.
• Monitor and analyze process performance using SPC, Cp/Cpk.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce variation and improve yield.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, including documentation and corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into process-related quality issues using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring defects.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to ensure quality readiness for new products.
• Validate process capability and quality controls during pilot builds and ramp-up.
• Train operators and technicians on quality standards, inspection techniques, and process controls.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and records.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customer Quality teams to resolve issues and meet quality goals.
• Participate in daily production meetings and quality reviews.
