Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a News Analyst to join our algorithm training efforts and help define factors important to our clients. You will contribute as a new graduate or early-career journalist passionate about breaking news and digital media, with a strong interest in technology and online content.

You will translate Chinese content into English, monitor real-time data streams, and support QA processes to improve data quality while collaborating with UX teams on internal QA tools and moving quickly

Qualifications

• Degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, English, political/social sciences or related fields.
• 0-6 years of work experience, preferably as a reporter covering breaking news, or working in digital media, or educational equivalent
• Translate Chinese language content into English
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, comfortable managing multiple competing priorities
• Ability to monitor and analyze real-time data from multiple datasets
• Audit and programmatically apply business rules for data validation
• QA algorithmic data streams to improve the quality of the dataset output
• Participate in UX user research studies for internal QA tools
• Stay up-to-date on new policies, processes, and procedures impacting the QA workflow
• Able to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
• Goal and result-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in another foreign language a plus
