Job summary

Exentec Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an NPI Manager who can operate across Penang and Shah Alam, coordinating between Engineering, Manufacturing, QA/QC, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product launches.

The role requires a strong background in NPI with PM experience, leadership capabilities and excellent communication, aiming to drive early issue resolution and robust process development across sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or related field.
• 8+ years of engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Strong NPI and project management experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership/management experience preferred.
• Experience in engineered-to-order or complex equipment manufacturing preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the company's NPI process and standards.
• Ensure new products are successfully transferred from Engineering to Manufacturing.
• Ensure products meet quality, cost, schedule and manufacturability requirements.
• Establish NPI milestones, readiness criteria and approval gates.
• Drive timely resolution of cross-functional issues.
• Manage engineering changes and production configuration.
• Develop and improve NPI processes, tools and team capabilities.

Job description

This NPI Manager role can be based in either Penang or Shah Alam and covers responsibilities for both sites. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively across both locations without any limitations.

I. DAILY TASK

• a. Manage and monitor all NPI projects and launch schedules.
• b. Lead cross-functional NPI meetings and review project progress.
• c. Monitor production readiness, prototype builds and pilot production.
• d. Review and **escalate** critical technical, material, quality and schedule issues.
• e. Coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, QA/QC, Supply Chain and Project Management activities.
• f. Monitor NPI KPIs and issue closure.
• g. Coach and manage the NPI team.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES
