Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Data Networking & Network Security specialist to maintain LAN/WAN and oversee network operations serving more than 2,000 staff. You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, servers, backups, and diagnostic tools to ensure high availability.

The role requires 3–5 years in data networking and security, a technical degree or related certifications, and hands-on expertise with DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years implementation experience in Data Networking & Network Security and deployment.
• Technical or College Degree in Information Technology, Management or related field, and/or advanced networking certifications.
• Understanding of networking protocols like DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP, etc.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools, solid understanding of network & security technologies.
• Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role.

Responsibilities

• Work with all technology team members to ensure proper maintenance of LAN, Wireless, MAN and WAN voice and data networks (>2,000 staff).
• Responsible for day-to-day operation, maintenance, and management of all data network equipment such as router, LAN switch, firewall, wireless, servers, backup systems, network management and diagnostic tools.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Perform troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and IT pertinent questions.
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
• Be familiar with OA software, APPs, Video Conferences equipment, etc.
