DRACHEN WELLE ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer to lead and support 24/7 network operations in Sepang. You will monitor telecommunications networks, manage incidents, and coordinate restoration with Field Engineers, customers and vendors.
The role requires hands-on IP troubleshooting, DWDM/ROADM/OTN knowledge and strong leadership. You will produce technical reports, maintain topology diagrams and participate in standby rotations to ensure SLA compliance.

Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer / Team Leader
Lead and support daily NOC operations by monitoring and maintaining telecommunications networks, handling IP and transmission-related faults, coordinating incident restoration, and ensuring compliance with SLA requirements in a 24/7 operational environment.
Lead and coordinate the NOC team in daily network monitoring, incident management and maintenance activities.
Monitor and maintain telecommunications network systems, including TM NGT, DWDM and IP network elements.
Perform IP network troubleshooting and support the resolution of routing, connectivity, latency and service-related issues.
Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities for network infrastructure.
Respond promptly to network incidents, alarms and customer service requests within agreed SLA timelines.
Troubleshoot network faults and coordinate service restoration activities with Field Engineers, customers and vendors.
Manage incident escalation and ensure timely follow-up until full service restoration.
Perform pre-check and post-check verification for all maintenance and incident-related activities.
Prepare incident reports, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reason for Outage (RFO) and Field Service Reports (FSR).
Monitor and update trouble tickets, escalation progress, restoration status and maintenance records.
Assign tasks, provide technical guidance and monitor the performance of NOC team members.
Ensure proper shift handovers and clear communication between operational teams.
Maintain spare-part readiness and accurate inventory records.
Prepare and update network topology diagrams, operational procedures, maintenance reports and technical documentation.
Attend operational meetings with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
Support standby and on-call rotations, including 24/7 operations when required.
Identify operational weaknesses and recommend improvements to network reliability, incident response and team performance.
Continuously strengthen technical knowledge of IP networking, transmission systems and telecommunications technologies.
Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
Minimum three years of relevant experience in NOC operations, telecommunications or network maintenance.
Hands-on experience in IP troubleshooting, network monitoring, fault isolation and incident resolution.
Knowledge of transmission and network technologies such as DWDM, ROADM, OTN, IP Core, IP Aggregation and telecommunications infrastructure.
Familiarity with TM NGT network environments will be an added advantage.
Experience in leading or coordinating technical and operational teams.
Good understanding of SLA management, escalation procedures, ticketing systems and maintenance processes.
Able to prepare clear technical reports, incident documentation and network diagrams.
Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
Willing to participate in standby or on-call rotations and support 24/7 operations when required.
