Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an NMS Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to design, deploy and operate monitoring for the organization’s network infrastructure. You will implement and upgrade NMS tools, define monitoring architecture, and integrate with ITSM and SIEM systems.

The role focuses on 24/7 performance monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and security compliance, with a strong emphasis on automation, dashboards and actionable incident management.

Qualifications

• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP routing switching, VLANs, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN.
• Protocols and telemetry: SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow/IPFIX, ICMP, streaming telemetry.
• Automation and scripting: Python, Ansible, REST APIs, PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure and upgrade NMS tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, LibreNMS, Cisco DNA Center/Prime, HPE IMC, NetBrain).
• Monitor availability, latency, and errors 24/7; define thresholds and alert rules.
• Onboard devices, configure SNMP, NetFlow, and APIs; triage alerts and perform RCA/PIR.
• Produce dashboards, reports and KPI metrics (MTTD, MTTR, uptime).
• Automate onboarding and reporting tasks; ensure secure access and compliance.
