Job summary

Hiree is actively seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage robust LAN/WAN/WLAN and data center connections in a dynamic environment. You will handle routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers while ensuring uptime and security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering / IT infrastructure.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, MPLS, and network security concepts.
• Experience with firewalls and security appliances (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower).
• Exposure to data center, server room, or hybrid cloud network environments is a plus.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or Fortinet NSE are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and implementation of network infrastructure for an internal project, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center connectivity.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network hardware.
• Provide day-to-day operational support, incident resolution, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and security, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Manage firewall policies, VPNs, access control lists, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Carry out network upgrades, patching, and firmware updates in line with change management procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional IT teams and external vendors to support project timelines.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration records.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.
