Job summary

Lancesoft APAC in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain LAN/WAN, data center, and SD-WAN infrastructure. You will manage routing, switching, firewall, VPNs, and DNS/DHCP/IPAM, while collaborating with security and IT teams.

You will support hybrid cloud connectivity to AWS, participate in capacity planning, incident response, documentation, and vendor management, and mentor junior engineers.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• - Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and data center network infrastructure.
• - Manage routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VRFs, MPLS, and network segmentation.
• - Administer firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, security policies, and secure remote connectivity.
• - Manage internet connectivity, leased lines, MPLS circuits, telecommunications services, and vendor relationships.
• - Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, NTP, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
• - Manage wireless infrastructure, load balancing, and application delivery platforms.
• - Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and troubleshoot complex network incidents.
• - Perform root cause analysis and support incident, problem, and change management.
• - Support hybrid cloud networking and connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and AWS.
• - Maintain network architecture diagrams, technical documentation, operational procedures, and security standards.
• - Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams on network hardening, vulnerability remediation, audits, and compliance.
• - Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operations teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• - 4+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering, administration, and operational support.
• - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, routing, switching, VLANs, VRFs, MPLS, SD-WAN, QoS, and network security.
• - Experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HPE, Huawei, or equivalent.
• - Hands-on experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, or Cisco Firepower.
• - Knowledge of load balancing platforms such as F5 BIG-IP or Citrix ADC and enterprise wireless technologies.
• - Familiarity with AWS networking services, including VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and VPN.
• - Understanding of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, and supporting infrastructure technologies.
• - Experience managing telecommunications circuits, enterprise connectivity, and high-availability environments.
• - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
