Magnum 4D Berhad is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network across HQ, data centers, branches, and agencies. You will ensure reliable and secure IT operations while supporting during weekends and standby duties.
You will work with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to optimize performance, security, and availability, including firewall configurations, VPN services, and SD-WAN deployments.
The role is responsible for network implementation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and performance optimization across HQ, Data Centers, branches, agencies, and other business locations. The candidate will work closely with internal IT teams, users, vendors, and service providers to ensure reliable, secure, and continuous IT operations. The role also requires support during weekends, Public Holidays, Draw Team standby duty, planned maintenance, and emergency situations when required.
Design, implement, configure, maintain, and support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN, VPN, load balancers, and related network devices, based on company requirements.
Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and reliability; conduct regular health checks and proactively identify and resolve potential network issues.
Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network connectivity, switching, routing, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, and performance-related issues, including diagnostics and root cause analysis.
Perform network changes, upgrades, migration, optimization, firmware updates, and hardware replacement in accordance with established configuration and change management procedures.
Maintain network security, redundancy, and high availability, including firewall configurations, access controls, VPN services, and resilient network connectivity.
Maintain accurate and up-to‑date network diagrams, configuration records, IP address allocation, asset information, change records, and technical documentation.
Support network infrastructure across Data Centers, branches, agencies, and other business locations, including network cabling and connectivity, and liaise with vendors, System Integrators, telecommunications providers, and other service providers for implementation and issue resolution.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to the team and provide first level support for related IT infrastructure and operational equipment such as UPS, CCTV, door access, IP phones, Audio Video systems/meeting room equipment, PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals where required.
Participate in Draw Team standby duty and provide technical support during draw‑day and other critical business operation periods, including weekends, Public Holidays, planned maintenance, and emergency situations to ensure continuous network and IT service availability.
Comply with the company’s information security policies, procedures, configuration and change management requirements, code of conduct, and other applicable operational controls, and perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with proven hands‑on experience in network engineering.
Strong practical knowledge of LAN/WAN, Ethernet, VLAN, Trunking, 802.1Q, Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, STP, link aggregation, TCP/IP, and SD-WAN.
Good knowledge and hands‑on experience with network routing and high availability technologies, including OSPF, BGP, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, and network redundancy.
Hands‑on experience with firewalls, ACL, NAT, IPS, VPN, IPsec, SSL VPN, and network security best practices.
Good knowledge of network services such as DNS and SNMP, with experience using network monitoring, diagnostic, and performance analysis tools.
Hands‑on experience with enterprise wireless networking, access points, and wireless controllers, with familiarity in Data Centre networking and infrastructure operations.
Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP networking, with awareness of cloud security best practices.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose network issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with users, internal IT teams, vendors, System Integrators, and service providers.
CCNA or higher‑level certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet, Azure/AWS networking, or other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience in supporting System Integrators and/or multiple‑site or branch network environments is preferred.
Willingness to travel to branches, Data Centers, or other business locations and participate in Draw Team standby duty, including working outside normal office hours, weekends, Public Holidays, planned maintenance, and emergency support when required.
