Job summary

CEIC Data in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced .NET software engineer to translate functional requirements into technical implementations. You will collaborate with engineers to deliver robust, scalable software on schedule.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in CS/IT/Software Engineering, 3+ years of C#, and experience with MySQL, AWS Aurora, and MongoDB, plus WPF MVVM, ASP.NET MVC, RESTful APIs. On-site role in Malaysia with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT/software engineering with strong computing background.
• Object Oriented programming experience: 3+ years with at least 2+ years in C#.
• Solid experience in databases such as MySQL, AWS Aurora and MongoDB.
• Experience in WiX Toolset, DotNetInstaller, NetOffice, VSTO.
• Experience in Data Engineering / Data Pipelines / Data processing streaming technologies.
• Experience in WPF + MVVM development.
• Experience in ASP.NET MVC4 or above, both Web and RESTful API.
• Experience in .NET 8/10, cross platform projects; .NET Framework 4.8 a plus.
• Experience in WCF, OData, gRPC development.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Business Analyst to define, refine, develop, test and deliver against functional requirements.
• Translates functional requirements into technical requirements.
• Develops technical documentation for internal or external consumption.
• Provides technical input to the project delivery plan including sizing and estimation.
• Responsible for quality of the scrum team and support through code review and testing strategies.
• Implements correct, performant and reliable code on schedule and per specification.
• Determines code quality and test coverage, and designs tests for high-quality software.
• Develops and maintains test automation efficiency and effectiveness.
• Responsible for defect closure and root cause analysis to avoid regressions.
• Drives continual improvement in quality and efficiency.
