Job summary

ASE Electronics Malaysia is seeking a Buyer (MRO)/Procurement/Sourcing Executive in Bayan Lepas to source, coordinate, plan, and purchase materials and services required by the operation.

You will manage supplier selection, negotiation, site audits, and ensure compliance with ISO/GP/TS standards while driving cost reductions and inventory optimization. Diploma with 2 years experience or Degree with 3+ years are considered.

Qualifications

• Diploma with minimum 2 years experience or fresh graduate.
• Degree in a relevant discipline with 3+ years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source, co-ordinate, plan and purchase a full range of materials & services required by the company.
• Responsible for the purchase and inventory management of assigned materials and services to support operations.
• Coordinate supplier selection/qualification, negotiation, site audit and all communication between supplier and requestor.
• Monitor supplier performance (pricing, quality, delivery, services) and drive continuous improvement.
• Benchmark pricing with ASE Corporate and industry; explore opportunities to reduce cost and inventory investments.
• Communicate and ensure suppliers comply with standards such as ISO, TS and GP requirements.
• Process purchase requisitions and award purchase orders/procurement contracts to suppliers.
• Identify obsolete materials and seek disposition.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.
