Job summary

Watertec (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam invites engineers with mould design expertise to join our tooling team. You will design plastic injection moulds, prepare specifications and drawings, and coordinate schedules for major projects and process changes.

Requirements include a Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Tool & Die, at least 4 years of tooling design experience, proficiency with CAD-CAM and UniGraphic NX, and Bahasa Malaysia and English language skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design plastic injection moulds and prepare mould specifications and checklists.
• Prepare mould component drawings and assembly drawings.
• Coordinate implementation schedules for major projects and process changes.
• Prepare material lists and ensure design feasibility for manufacturing.
• Assist in supplier selection, QA, and testing of new products or changes.
• Ensure smooth transition from design to production testing and resolve design issues.

Job description

Workout a complete design of plastic injection mould

prepare mould specification and checklist

Prepare mould component drawing and assembly drawings.

Prepare and coordinate the implementation schedule foe major projects and process changes.

Prepare material list.

Stay current with state-of-the-art technologies and equipment and lead the implementation of new automation solutions within the operations

Update and record technical data

Analyse proposed engineering changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility

Assist in purchasing and quality assurance in selecting qualifying suppliers for new product or product changes.

Ensure smooth transition from design to development of testing of the designs and productions trial run.

Resolve any design technical issues in a timely manner.

Conduct check to ensure all programs and tooling are correct

Carry out any other duties being assigned from time to time

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Professional Degree or Others in Engineering (Mechanical, Tool & Die or equivalent)

Required language : Bahasa Malaysia, English

At lease 4 years of working experiences in tooling design

Knowledge of software design for CAD-CAM and UniGraphic (UG) NX

Ability to use mold flow and prepare mold flow will be an added advantage

Ability to model 3S mould surfaces for tooling
