Intel Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks an Engineering professional to own high-volume equipment and processes for rapid device miniaturization and mass production.

The role involves testing, diagnostics and implementing improvements to meet safety, quality and cost targets, with site-to-site technology transfer. You will work hands-on in a demanding manufacturing environment, leveraging analytics, mechanical/electrical knowledge and industry testers to drive efficiency and yield.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Preferable Mechatronics /Computer Science).
• Hardware and software expertise required.
• Excellent analytical skills with hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge in mechanical design and electrical circuitry a plus.
• Experience with Industrial Testers and system-level testing.

Responsibilities

• Owns critical high volume manufacturing equipment and processes that enable rapid device miniaturization and mass production.
• Conducts tests and measurements to ensure control over critical dimensions and defectivity of the process line.
• Implements modifications to improve production efficiency, manufacturing techniques and optimize production output while meeting safety, quality and cost goals.
• Leads continuous improvement of equipment and processes for KPIs and transfers technology across sites.
• During ramps, ensures tools installed safely and on schedule meeting milestones.
• Supports training and audits of installation and qualification outcomes.

Job description

Note: This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities.

Owns critical high volume manufacturing equipment and processes that enable rapid device miniaturization and the mass production of integrated circuits.

Conducts tests and measurements of their operations to ensure control over critical dimensions and defectivity of the process line.

Recommends and implements modifications for operating the equipment in order to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and optimizing production output for existing products, to meet safety, quality and cost indicator goals.

Grows insitu manufacturing capacity to high volumes to demonstrate the technology capability while simultaneously transferring the technology to counterparts in manufacturing sites across the globe.

Owns execution of maintenance and repair activities for equipment and relevant module of components.

Initiates and owns the continuous improvement of equipment and process for key performance indicators (e.g., safety, quality, cost, productivity, defects, and yield) and works with equipment suppliers as required.

Owns process development line items aligned to high volume process nodes.

Participates in the transfer of technology to other sites through training and audit of installation and qualification outcomes to ensure matched processing across sites.

Owns development and optimization of excursion prevention systems for the equipment and process.

Owns detection of discrepant material or activities of the equipment and process.

During factory ramps, owns equipment install/conversion and qualification to ensure tools are installed safely and on schedule, while meeting all quality/matching criteria (from design through Safety Level 1 and Safety Level Supplier milestones, Intel qual and manufacturing readiness processes).

Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering (Preferable Mechatronics /Computer Science).

This position will require hardware and software expertise.

Excellence in analytical skills and a preference for hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.

Good knowledge in mechanical design and electrical circuitry is an added advantage.

Possess statistical data analysis and data system automation skills such as JMP, SQL pathfinder.

Experience with Industrial Tester such as Advantest V93K tester & Teradyne Ultra-Flex and have done System Level Test (SLT): Chroma

Experience with industrial Handler Hon-P (Hon precision) with Tri-temp Or Dual-Temp; and Burn-In tool: MCC or AMPS V10

Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineering and customers.

Candidate must be flexible and capable of handling multi-task operations.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.

Experience in Test Program methodologies and integration debugging will be an added advantage.

Ability to diagnose, architect, and implement enterprise-level solutions while building team capabilities and leveraging cutting-edge technologies for sustainable competitive advantage.
