Job summary

MALAYSIA STEEL WORKS (KL) BHD (Masteel) seeks a Mobile Crane Operator to conduct daily inspections and perform safe lifting, loading, and unloading operations. You will coordinate with site personnel and logistics, report faults, and handle ad hoc tasks as required.

The ideal candidate has a JKKP/DOSH crane competency, a valid Malaysian driving licence for cranes, and 2–3 years of crane experience. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary in a heavy steel environment.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid JKKP/DOSH-registered Mobile Crane Operator competency certificate.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence appropriate for the mobile crane vehicle.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating mobile cranes or similar heavy equipment.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Physically fit to work in a heavy equipment and steel environment.
• Possess good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of the mobile crane before operation
• Operate the mobile crane safely for lifting, loading, unloading, and transportation activities
• Ensure crane operations are carried out according to safety procedures and company requirements
• Coordinate with site personnel, signalmen, and the logistics team during lifting operations
• Report any crane defects, accidents, or safety issues to the supervisor immediately
• Handle any ad hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor
