Job summary

GoKardz Technologies in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled Service Virtualization Engineer to build and maintain virtualized interfaces for testing banking software. You will extend the Virtual Services platform and ensure its quality, availability, and underlying infrastructure while delivering 1st and 2nd level customer support.

The role requires strong RTVS or equivalent experience, Linux/Unix expertise, and API tooling knowledge.

Qualifications

Job purpose:

• Build and maintain virtualized interfaces to be used in testing of banking software applications.
• You are extending Virtual Services solution and ensure its quality and availability.
• Maintain the Service Virtualization Platform and its underlying infrastructure, as well as provide 1st & 2nd level customer support.

Task List for the Role:

• Communicating and collaborating with users of the platform to ensure client satisfaction.
• Preparing target test environments.
• Creating and delivering virtualized interfaces.
• Performing tests of created endpoints.
• Ensuring that the application documentation is complete and up to date.
• Assure platform availability and perform troubleshooting tasks.
• Solving basic platform issues.
• Reacting on monitoring alerts.
• 1st & 2nd level customer support for

Formal Education:

University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or relevant.

Essential Skills

• Service Virtualization Expertise: Strong knowledge of IBM Rational Test Workbench / Rational Test Virtualization Server (RTVS), Micro Focus Open Text Service Virtualization, or Broadcom CA Service Virtualization, with experience in implementing and maintaining service virtualization solutions.
• Linux/Unix Proficiency: Strong experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, including system administration, scripting, and troubleshooting.
• API Development and Management: Experience with API development and management tools like Postman, Swagger, and Apigee, with experience in designing, developing, and deploying APIs.

Professional Skills (technical, methodology, and business)

• Messaging Systems: Knowledge of messaging systems such as IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and RabbitMQ, with experience in designing and implementing messaging solutions.
• DevOps and Automation: Experience with GitOps and familiarity with tools like GIT, Ansible, Terraform, and Docker, with experience in implementing automation and orchestration solutions.

Nice to Have

• Scripting Skills: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, and Perl, with experience in developing scripts for automation and system administration.
• Database Familiarity: Good familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, with experience in designing and implementing database solutions.
