A middle school health teacher guides students through the critical physical, emotional, and social transitions of early adolescence by teaching essential wellness and life skills. They cover key topics like nutrition, personal hygiene, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and healthy interpersonal relationships, helping students develop strong health literacy. Beyond delivering curriculum, middle school health teachers empower young teens to make informed decisions, build resilience, practice critical thinking around peer pressure, and establish positive habits that support lifelong well-being.
In addition to teaching health, all members of our Middle School faculty serve as advisors and homegroup leaders during the school day. All faculty members also participate in Malaysia Week, a week-long opportunity for students to leave the classroom and explore our beautiful host nation. Additionally, faculty are asked to lead at least one after school activity or sport each year.
