Job summary

The International School of Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Middle School Health Teacher who will guide students through essential wellness and life skills, covering physical, mental, emotional, social, sexual, and environmental health to foster lifelong healthy choices and resilience.

You will design engaging lessons in collaboration with the PE team, counselors, and the Teaching & Learning coordinator, document curricular goals, report progress to parents, and lead student conferences, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience teaching health to middle school students.
• Teaching certification preferred and experience with diverse, international learners.

Responsibilities

• Health teachers are responsible for advancing their students' understanding of health in several key areas including physical, mental, emotional, social, sexual, and environmental health.
• Work to devise lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines and in coordination with our PE team, counselors, and Teaching & Learning coordinator.
• Design engaging lessons that promote deep thinking and processing of health-related topics.
• Document curricular goals clearly for all stakeholders in our community.
• Return student work in a timely manner with relevant feedback.
• Report student progress for assessments to the parents.
• Provide guidance and support to all students.
• Take the lead in organizing conferences between you, the students and parents, twice yearly and also if needed between these times.
• Any other related duties assigned by administration.
