Mid-Level Accountant / Senior Executive Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Accountant to manage and oversee full-set accounting functions. In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, internal/external audit support, and financial analysis while offering guidance to junior staff.

Key responsibilities

Independently manage and maintain full sets of accounts

Perform variance analysis and routine financial reporting to support management decisions

Coordinate, assist with internal and external audits to ensure reporting compliance

Oversee and review work completed by junior accounting staff

Utilize cloud accounting software (specifically Xero) for ledger updates, reporting, and reconciliations

About you

Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience (3-6 years preferred)

Proven, hands-on experience using Xero accounting software is required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or progress toward a professional accounting qualification)

Prior experience working with Australian accounting standards, tax, or clients is highly desirable

Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills with high attention to accuracy
