Job summary

Noventiq Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Microsoft Security Engineer to deliver and implement Microsoft security solutions for external customers, with a focus on Defender, DLP, and Purview. This is a hands-on deployment and migration role within the Services Delivery Team.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and customers, deploy Defender across Endpoint and Cloud Apps, implement Purview DLP and sensitivity labels, configure Entra ID with Conditional Access and MFA, and perform

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on implementation and deployment experience with Microsoft security solutions (2+ years).
• Hands-on experience deploying Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps).
• Experience implementing Purview — DLP, information protection / sensitivity labels, and compliance.
• Working knowledge of Entra ID and Conditional Access.
• Experience delivering migrations to Microsoft Defender/Purview from other solutions (e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro).
• Good understanding of XDR, SIEM, IAM, and cloud security concepts.
• Basic PowerShell scripting.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Information Security.
• English: capable of reading technical docs and communicating with customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers, Project Managers, and customers to gather security and compliance requirements and implement designs.
• Deploy and configure Defender solutions — Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
• Implement data protection and compliance with Microsoft Purview — DLP, Information Protection / sensitivity labels, and retention.
• Configure identity and access security with Microsoft Entra ID — Conditional Access and MFA.
• Deploy Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) where required (optional focus).
• Deliver migrations from other security solutions to Microsoft — e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint DLP, and third‑party SIEMs — into Defender and Purview.
• Deliver Proof‑of‑Concept (POC) tasks to demonstrate solution value.
• Produce security configuration documentation and admin guides.

Job Overview

We’re looking for a Microsoft Security Engineer to bring your talent to Noventiq Malaysia. You’ll be part of our Services Delivery Team, responsible for delivering and implementing Microsoft security solutions for external customers, with a focus on Microsoft Defender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft Purview (Microsoft Sentinel is optional). This is a delivery and implementation role focused on hands‑on deployment and migration.

About You

• Working knowledge of identity and access management with Entra ID and Conditional Access.
• Experience delivering migrations from other security solutions to Microsoft (e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint, third‑party SIEMs).
• Good understanding of XDR, SIEM, IAM, and cloud security concepts.
• Basic PowerShell scripting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• English — able to read technical documentation and to speak and present confidently to customers (verbal communication is required).

• Modern Workplace skills — Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, and Autopilot.
• Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) deployment experience.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-900, SC-200, SC-400).
