Job description

We are seeking a talented Microbiologist to join our dynamic team at IEQ Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. As a Microbiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products and services. This is a full-time position that offers exciting opportunities for professional growth and development.

What You’ll Be Doing

Demonstrate strong leadership skills, ability to work independently, and adaptability to new challenges.

Prepare and submit reports promptly, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.

Perform microbiological tests, record observations, and interpret results accurately.

Maintain, update, and review laboratory records, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and analytical methods to ensure relevance and accuracy.

Operate laboratory equipment and instruments; ensure proper maintenance, excellent functionality, and sufficient availability of equipment and materials.

Manage in-house calibration activities and optimise the use of laboratory equipment.

Ensure full compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO 17025, and all laboratory safety requirements.

Ensure the laboratory is adequately stocked with reagents, consumables, and other necessary supplies.

Maintain and update routine laboratory logs, documentation, and related records.

Demonstrate high levels of self-management, initiative, and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively.

Provide assistance and support to team members whenever required.

Ensure workspaces are kept clean, safe, and organised.

Ensure the laboratory is regularly cleaned, sanitised, and maintained in an orderly manner.

What We’re Looking For

Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Environmental Science with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience; OR a Diploma in Microbiology with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Microbiology or Environmental-related fields.

Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP, cGMP, GLP, ISO 17025, microbiological laboratory techniques, as well as quality control and quality assurance practices.

Well-versed in GMP, GLP, quality control procedures, laboratory documentation, and current laboratory or regulatory requirements.

Able to conduct site sampling activities (if require)

Required to participate in the Signatory Program with Malaysian Standards (MS).

Possess knowledge of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Environmental Health; familiarity with laboratory accreditation requirements will be considered an advantage.
