Job summary

Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar is seeking an Assistant/Events Manager – MICE to lead and coordinate catering events, ensuring seamless client experiences. You will work across departments to plan, execute and optimize high-profile meetings and events.

You will manage pre-event and on-site delivery, drive budgets, and maintain safety and sustainability while delivering memorable outcomes for clients and guests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher education qualification.
• At least 3 years in a catering setting or related field in a supervisory capacity.
• Business language and tool acumen.
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Being the key link between teams and departments to drive collaboration, plan activity and create an environment where everyone can thrive.
• Completing forecasts, plans, and productivity reports to budget with accuracy.
• Ensuring successful and memorable client experiences as their key point of contact
• Working closely alongside planners to build strong working relationships with daily briefings.
• Ensuring guest safety, environmental impact and business needs always remain a priority.
• Conducting pre-event and post-event meetings to continually improve the client experience.
