Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Metrology/Inspection professional to perform precise measurement tasks using CMM and various instruments, ensuring accurate dimensional layouts. The role involves supporting First Article inspections and GD&T tolerances, with strong emphasis on CAD interpretation and metrology program maintenance.

Fresh graduates or those with 1–2 years in manufacturing are welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent engineering.
• Fresh graduate or 1–2 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Able to work overtime and shifts when necessary.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform measurement tasks using CMM and other instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Support Receiving Inspection and First Article Inspection Reports with GD&T tolerances.
• Read and interpret CAD models and drawings to operate CMM and other equipment.
• Assist Supplier Quality Engineers with part qualification, tolerance stack-ups, and troubleshooting.
• Program, evaluate, and maintain metrology equipment.

Job description

Perform measurement tasks within the site, designing various measurement methods using the Coordinates Measuring Machine (CMM) and a variety of instruments to ensure that the dimensional layouts are accurate and reliable.

Supports also Receiving Inspection processes performing First Article Inspection Reports and measuring parts with GD&T tolerances and other complex dimensions, as well as in process measurements.

Reads and interprets CAD models, technical drawings and specifications including GD&T, to properly load, set up and operate the Coordinates Measuring Machine (CMM) and other measuring equipment to effectively run and complete first article inspection reports and supporting documentation to appropriate stakeholders.

Assist Supplier Quality Engineers on manufacturing issues and part qualification activities, running part dimensional analysis, executing tolerance stack up analysis and assembly troubleshooting.

Programming, evaluating and maintaining Metrology equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent engineering.
• Fresh graduate or 1-2 years working experience in manufacturing environment.
• Able to communicate with engineer and supervisor well in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Able to support overtime and work shift when necessary.
• Able to use the computer including Google Workspace and MS Office applications.
