Job summary

MeHow Medical (M) Sdn Bhd seeks a Metrology Engineer to lead a team of technicians for daily product measurement and verification in a medical device manufacturing setting. You will oversee CMM programming and develop checking methods for existing and new projects, ensuring accurate dimensional data.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Quality Engineering, with at least 3 years’ experience in metrology, GD&T interpretation, and SPC analysis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical/manufacturing/quality engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in metrology, dimensional inspection or measurement environment.
• Hands-on CMM operation and programming (Hexagon CMM preferred).
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Good knowledge of SPC, dimensional data analysis and measurement reporting.
• Familiar with CMM, caliper, micrometer, thread gauge and vision systems.
• Familiar with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Medical device, precision machining, injection moulding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a group of technicians to complete daily product measurement and verification.
• Hands on measuring equipment and handling Coordinate Measuring Machine Program to create checking method.
• Provide guidance and training for subordinate on technical functions.
• Prepare or carry-out dimensional verification on first article products and retain data for reference.
• Participate in mold evaluation to obtain full dimensional, SPC and Cpk data.
• Feedback to Quality personnel and supervisors when non-conforming dimensional data is detected.
• Generate rework order requests and carry-out re-inspection after rework and sorting.
• Troubleshooting inspection-related issues.
• Manage and execute projects assigned by superior.

Prepare or carry-out dimensional verification on first article product and completed measured product shall be retained for future references

Participate in mold evaluation activity to obtain the product full dimensional, SPC and Cpk data

Feedback to Quality personnel, Production Supervisor/Line Leader when there is a detection of non-conforming on part dimensional data

Generate rework order request to Production to carry out necessary action and carry-out re-inspection process after Rework and Sorting process completed

Troubleshooting any inspection related issues

Manage and execute projects assigned by superior

Job Requirements:

Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in metrology, dimensional inspection or measurement environment.

Hands‑on experience in CMM operation and programming (Hexagon CMM preferred).

Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Good knowledge of SPC, dimensional data analysis and measurement reporting.

Familiar with: CMM machine / Caliper / Micrometer / Thread Gauge / Vision Measurement System

Familiar with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 quality systems.

Experience in medical device, precision machining, injection moulding added advantage.
